The Rotary Club of Baker welcomed guest speaker Kimberly Baker, principal of the GEO Prep Charter Academy of Baker to its August 8, 2022, meeting. Ms. Baker introduced her group and the program. Geo Prep has two locations in the Baton Rouge area.
She started out with Geo Prep in 2015 as a kindergarten teacher. “I really love kids. I’m passionate about what we do for children. I want the best for kids and so I’m very limited specialization. I love education and It’s a part of my life.”
The academy is located in the Bethany education building. They are starting with kindergarten and first grade but will add a grade every year.
Ms. Baker then fielded questions from the club members on the program, the Baker enrollment, extracurricular activities, and the curriculum.
